Atif Aslam the heartthrob of the youngsters (born on March 12,1983) . He is a pop/rock singer and gave many hits like Aadat, Woh Lamhe , and Meri Kahani.atif_aslam

Atif Aslam wanted to be a Cricketer and even was selected for the under-19′s team.But his hobby of singing continued and he won many singing competition of the college.He then formed Jal and he was the lead singer of Jal ,but split due to personal conflicts.

Atif released his first album Jalpari in 2004.Mahesh Bhatt is the person who introduced him to bollywood.

ON 17th July 2008,Atif performed in Colosseum in Rome,Italy.

He won BBC Excellence Music Award-London and he was also awarded by the Govt. of Pakistan”The Biggest Civil Award” “TAMAGHA-E-IMTIAZ for Atif’s Excellence in Music.

Atif aslam says that Kishore kumar’s songs inspired him and he is a big fan of kishore da.”It was Kishore Da’s songs which inspired me to become a singer”.

14He won many other Awards like

  1. Best Playback Singer and Best Debut Singer-Sahara Sangeet Awards (India)
  2. Most Stylish Musician -MTV Style ycra Awards(India)
  3. Best Album of the Year for Doorie-2007 Lux Style Awards(Pakistan)

His Album Meri Kahani and Doorie was a superhit and liked by every one.He was also critisized by other Play back singers.Talking to the BBC, Atif says that training is not needed to become a singer and he, for one, is a born singer: “A singer should not be criticised just because he is not trained because, according to me, you do not need training for singing.”
